Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP)
What is HPRP? 
The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program is funded under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 to assist households throughout Tulare County who are at imminent risk of becomming homeless or who have been homeless for less than 90 days.
Who qualifies?
To be eligible for assistance the household must be homeless less than 90 days or at risk of homelessness and meet both of the following circumstances:
(1) no appropriate subsequent housing options have been identified
(2) the household lacks the financial resources and support networks needed to obtain immediate housing or remain in its exisiting housing.
Other eligibility criteria:
- Individual and families who are currently in housing but are at imminent risk of becoming homeless and in need of temporary rent, utility assistance to prevent them from becoming homeless, or assistance to move to another unit.
- Individuals and families who have been homeless for less than 90 days and need temporary assistance in order to obtain housing.
- Household must be under 50% of Area Median Income (AMI).
